NOTE CHANGE   The Citizens Advice Bureau now hold a drop in session on Wednesdays from 10 am to Noon, just come in and wait your turn.. Pre-booked appointments are available, please ring 01780 763051 for further details

 

The SKDC Enquiry Office is held in our building but they only open 9.30 am to 2.00 pm, whereas the rest of the building is open from 9.00 am to about 10.00 pm.

 

Our Training Programme 

These include Introduction to the Internet and Email, File and Folder Management, Introduction to PowerPoint, Introduction to Publisher, Introduction to Spreadsheets, Introduction to Access (Databases).

Staff for this section are available on  Wednesdays from 1.00 to 3,00 p.m. to discuss your requirements, otherwise just leave a message on 01778 381777 and someone will get back to you. Drop in and have a chat about TheseTraining Courses and other non IT Courses that are running or will be running shortly. We have them for the beginner or for the intermediate learner, most of which are free or low cost.  All  courses are tutored by professional tutors.

ITQ (CLAiT) Courses are still continuing in our fully equipped IT suite.

Every student who has taken ITQ (CLAiT) exams at this centre has passed. ITQ is a recognised qualification which will enhance your CV. (CLAiT now known as ITQ). To book a course  visit the Centre as detailed above.

Programme for Mobility Scooter Users.

Shortly we will be offering The Safe Scoot Programme which is designed to help riders to use their mobility scooters safely and to be aware of and considerate to other road/pavement users. It is a fun programme, no exams! Telephone for more details, just leave your name and 'phone number with our receptionist and we will get back to you with all the information when it becomes available.

Health Activities at the Centre

A quick reminder that we have seven health clinics or sessions at the Centre:

Sports Massage and Personal Training, Podiatry and Chiropody, an Osteopath, Pilates, Reiki, Reflexology, Aromatherapy, Specialist Massages and other complimentary therapies, a psychotherapist, Exercise for Seniors and Zumba.

We also have Red Cross training, Weight Watchers,  also The Healthy Walkers meet here on alternate Thursdays.

Businesses  -  May we suggest that you hire one of our rooms for off site interviews, training or conferences. See our Accommodation page for more details of what is available. If you want to see a particular room, it is best to ring first to see if it is not in use when you want to come. There is usually a volunteer around to assist with any queries that you may have. Hire charges are on our Hire Rates page.
